How Soldaten Would Carry Zeltbahns
The way a soldaten would carry his equipment while not in use would vary. It could
be carried using D rings, an A-frame, with a field pack or for mounted troops (with
use of a bicycle transportation were carried by the handle bars).
“Several variants of Zeltplföcken 1929 can be seen underneath a carrying bag (mainly
used during WWI, sometimes used within cavalry during WWII). From left to right,
pegs are made of aluminium, bare steel, grey painted steel and Bakelite. All of them
retained their original string.”
